about us
We carry out innovative research and analysis, translating traditional plant extract knowledge into reproducible biochemistry for practical applications.

      Echinacea
Echinacea (pictured above) is just one of the natural plant extracts we can develop for use in medicines, cosmetics or food products. We are fully conversant with the claims that can be made about herbal extracts, and can develop extracts to suit a variety of applications within known guidelines.

What we do

We provide a wide range of specialised phyto-chemical research, analysis and development services. Our analysis services cover liquid and gas chromatography, infra-red spectroscopy and a wide range of specific analyses. We also offer other services, such as cosmetic formulation and the development of natural extracts and product applications.

See services for more information on what we can offer.

How we do it

Our highly qualified team works on dedicated research projects, delivering reliable, quality results in a controlled and totally confidential environment.

Starting with the traditional use of plants, we use our analytical and tissue culture facilities to isolate truly active constituents.

For pharmaceutical development, we analyse traditional herbal medicines and use modern analytical techniques to identify and isolate the active compounds for drug development. We aim to provide new plant-based solutions for current diseases, and have Home Office authority for drugs testing.

Who we work for

We produce novel plant-based solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, the cosmetics industry and the functional foods industry.

We have also been closely involved in drafting legislation relating to claims that can be made for herbal medicines. We have been instrumental in drafting the Traditional Medicines Directive and advising the MHRA (MCA).
